INFORMATION ABOUT THE COMPETITION

 

Essay Competition for children:

Children of 12 to 18 years of age will participate. The Essay should be written in English and should not exceed 3 pages.

Subject for the Essay: "The Message of Bhagavad Gita"

The Essay should contain the name, address and age of the participant and reach Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, 305 7th Avenue, 17th Floor, New York, NY 10001 on or before August 5, 2004.

 

Recitation Competition:

The children are divided into two categories
-Junior (7 to 11 years) and senior (12 to 189 years). They should recite verses in front of the audience during the event.

The Junior group should recite by heart the first ten verses of Chapter 12 of the Gita. The Senior group should recite by heart all 20 verses of Chapter 12 of the Gita.

The children Desirous of participating in the competition should contact the Bhavan at (212) 989-8383 for registration by August 10, 2004

  The winners in both the competitions will be given cash prizes and certificates.
