SATURDAY, MARCH 11, 2006-'Remembering Rukmini Devi': Talk by Dr. Sunil Kothari

'Remembering Rukmini Devi: an illustrated talk by Dr. Sunil Kothari on the contribution of Rukmini Devi, with excerpts from the BBC film on Rukmini Devi and Kalakshetra. Kalakshetra trained V.Gayathri Devi, who teaches Bharatanatyam of Kalakshetra bani at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, New York, will demonstarte the technique with her disciples, both Indian and those from USA and she would render two compositions in praise of Rukmini Devi.

Prepare to face world-renowned quizmaster Derek O' Brien as he takes charge of the first of its kind competition in USA, the ICICI Bank Quiz - IQ.
The participants will be tested on their knowledge on a variety of subjects including history, heritage, language, mythology, geography, politics, science, arts etc.

Participation Categories :   1. Junior (Grade 5 to Grade 8)      2. Open (Above Grade 8)

Teams:

Each team comprises 3 participants. Teams can be formed by participants who come together or individuals can come by themselves and we will create teams of three at the registration time.
