Procedure for enrolling children in the “Bhagavad Gita Recitation CompetitionThe children will be divided into two groups – Junior and Senior.Junior are those who are between 8 and 11 years of age.Senior are those who are between 12 and 16 years of age. Juniors should recite from memory 10 slokas # 54 to 63 from Chapter II.Seniors should recite from memory 19 slokas # 54 to 72 from Chapter II .Flawless recitation, pronunciation and clarity will be taken
into account in judging the winners.

Pandit Ramesh Mishra
Pandit Ramesh Mishra is an acclaimed master of one of the most difficult
stringed instruments, Sarangi. Son of the great Sarangi maestro Pt. Ramnath
Mishra, Ramesh Mishra started intensive training with him at a young age,
continuing his studies with many of the finest musicians, such as Pandit,
Hamunan Prasad Mishra, Pt. Gopal Mishra and Pandit Ravi Shankar.
Recognized as both an eminent soloist and adept accompanist, he has performed all over the world and has made many recordings. Pandit Mishra has accompanied all the most eminent dancers, vocalists and Tabla players, such as Girija Devi, Shobha Gurtu, Bhimse Joshi, Kishori Anonkar. Praveen Sultana, Ustad Alla Rakha Khan, Ustad Zakir Hussain, Pt. Kisan Maharaj and Pandit Birju Maharaj. Pandit Mishra has been the recipient of many awards, including the Sangeet Natak Academy Award.
